Leading in Turbulent Times

The past several weeks of economic uncertainty have put many cultural leaders on edge. What will happen to audiences and visitor traffic? Will individual giving be impacted? What should we do about capital projects? How will shrinking foundation and internal endowments impact income? What opportunities emerge from hard times?

To help executives at Greater Philadelphia cultural organizations address these issues, and guide their organizations rationally, thoughtfully and pro-actively though this period, our four organizations have joined forces to quickly assemble an event entitled "Leading in Turbulent Times." It will offer an opportunity to hear from experts and share ideas with your peers on topics such as: the economic outlook, individual giving, foundation giving, credit markets, engagement, technical assistance and pricing strategies.

We are proud to bring you an outstanding panel that includes:

  • Phil Hopkins, Vice President, Research, Select Greater Philadelphia
  • Clara Miller, President & CEO, Nonprofit Finance Fund
  • Greg Rowe, Director, Culture Initiatives, The Pew Charitable Trusts
  • Roy Wilbur, Project Manager, Marketing Innovation Program, The Pew Center for Arts and Heritage
  • M. Jane Williams, Principal, Schultz & Williams
  • Moderator, Steve Highsmith, myphl17

Who should attend:

  • Executive and artistic directors
  • Senior marketing, finance and development staff
  • Representatives of board leadership

Also, please complete the survey questions on the registration page so that we may tailor the forum to your interests and concerns.

We look forward to seeing you on the 17th.
